From 1st January 2022, we’re making our pricing simpler.
Whether you’re new to us or renewing with us again, the price on the day will be same, based on your own unique set of circumstances.
Just to let you know, there are a few reasons why you may see a different price, which you can find more about by reviewing our frequently asked questions.
We’re also making our renewals process simpler than ever, meaning that you’ll be able to switch your renewal preference at any time.
What does it mean for me?
It means that whether you have a new quote or a renewal, the price you receive on the day will be the same, based on your own unique set of circumstances – simpler pricing for everyone.
It also means more flexibility around your renewal – your renewal, your way!
You can sit back, relax and let us take care of your automatic renewal – meaning continuous cover, even if you forget and no hassle of adding your info again.
We’ve made it easy to switch your renewal preference at any time you like, as often as you like, plus we’ll let you know about your renewal price around 25 days before your renewal date, so that you have plenty of time to decide.
If you decide to remove automatic renewal, it means that:
- Your cover will end at the time and date shown on your renewal email or letter
- You may have a gap in cover if you forget to buy a new policy – it’s worth noting that insurance for your car is a legal requirement if you own a roadworthy vehicle
Why are you changing some of your processes?
We believe in continuously reviewing our products and processes to ensure the best experience for our customers.
That’s why we wholly support the new rulings announced by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), which means that it’ll soon be easier for customers to change their renewal preferences, as well as ensuring that renewal quotes for car and home policies are not higher than a new quote.
You can find full details of the new rules on the FCA's website.
How can I update my renewal preferences?
- Log in to your Swift Space using your email address and password (you can reset your password on screen if needed)
- If a ‘To-do’ list pops up, you can close this by clicking the ‘X’ in the top right corner
- Scroll to the ‘Renewal Status’ section and click the ‘Change’ button on the right
- On the next screen, you’ll be shown your current renewal preference
- Follow the steps and you’ll then see a confirmation screen to let you know that the change has been completed
